About me

I am a direct entry Ph.D. student in the Department of Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Toronto – I completed my undergraduate degree in physics and astronomy at the University of British Columbia in 2025. My research interests generally revolve around using extreme astrophyiscal phenomena to learn about physics that is otherwise unattainable on Earth. This leads to my interest in neutron stars, black holes, the dark sector, and astroparticle physics. My research page has more information on what I’ve been looking at lately!

Outreach is a very important part of my presence in astronomy and I continuously seek ways to make astronomy and physics easily accessible to anyone who is interested in learning about it. I’ve had the privelege of running outreach events for public libraries and girl guide groups among other efforts which can be found here!

Outside of academics I love listening music, playing piano, swimming and various team sports, and reading sci-fi mostly (I promise I’m a three dimensional person).
